Kojagiri

Today is Kojagiri - the specific full moon night when mommies do an 'arati' (they light a set of lamps and then swirl them round and round your face) of the eldest child. Since I am the eldest child (!) in the house, my mommy did arati for me and even gave me a new dress as a gift. My gramma did it for my mommy since she is the eldest in her house...daddy is not eldest (Preeti Atya is older than him) so he did not get the privilege.

I wore my Tiger dress this evening... I was waiting to wear it for long and I loved it. Here are the pictures:

Wow, your face is starting to take shape. Just a few months ago, I couldn't tell who you looked like - your dad or mom..Now I can :)...Also, your costume is so pretty. Your 10 month bday is fast approaching...this time may be you'll get to eat some cake too?

Ganuraja,
I'm so glad that YOU missed me! In my opinion, you look like mommy. Shh, don't tell daddy I said so ;). For a treat, I would like to hold you before you grow too big. Tell mommy and daddy to bring you here to Milwaukee...please..
