I turned one year old on the 30th of Dec.

In the morning, I woke up and quickly had a bath and wore my new clothes after breakfast. Here is a picture.

In the morning, with Aba Posted by Picasa

By noon, everyone from Mumbai arrived at our place. There was Ba, Tushar Kaka, Anu Maushi, Aaji, Aajoba and also Vikas Aajoba and Sadhna Aaji. I played with them all day. In the afternoon, daddy went somewhere with Anu maushi and Tushar Kaka (they did not take me ...bad) and came back only by 5.30. By that time we all were dressed to leave.
Apparently, my parents had booked a hotel for a birthday party and daddy was there in the afternoon to make the decorations (cool). Before we left, they did 'aarti' for me with all those diyas and gave me the presents that they all had got for me.

The party was at Hotel Poonam at Deccan. There were about 115 guests. There was also a magic show and two funny cartoons who were dancing around all the time. Some of my friends (Priyavrat, Abha) and even Maitrayee Tai got scared of the cartoons but I'm the brave boy as I always was, so didnt give a damn. All my friends from the building (except Aaditi Tai & her parents, they were away on a trip) attended the party. There were also daddy's friends and mommy's friends and their kids.

The food was good too. There were many options like South Indian, Punjabi, Chaat, Chinese and even Ice Cream!! I got a lot of presents from everyone :)

The party ended by 10 and we returned home by 11. Doctormama (Babu Dada) could not attend the party but made it a point to call exactly at 10.46 PM to wish me (thats when I was born....he knows, he's the first person I have seen from the outer world).

Here are some snaps from the party.

Daddy writes:
The party went well. Mihir got a little overwhelmed as he seldom gets to see so many people in one place and then everyone wanted to meet him :) He cried for some time so the cake cutting part had to be hurried up a bit. He later settled down and then was happy to be on his own.

I've got m@il

Mishi has written to say that he cannot make it to my party :(
But he has made a gentleman's promise that he will be there next year!
Heres the mail:
----------------------------------------
Hi Mihir,
This is MISHI wishing you a very Happy Birthday on
30th Dec. I am so sorry that I am not able to attend
your birthday party this year.I wanted to attend you
party but just because of my doc-kaka not able to make
it. Acually Parag-kaka(your dad)fully convinced my mom
to visit you guys on your bday and she had plans for
the same. But doc-kaka put so many BUTs that she has
to change her plans. Now that doc-kaka is one among my
secret list to whom I will give a punch when I'll be a
big boy. Yes I can share my list with you. You can
share your hit list with me and I'll help you out when
I'll visit you in Pune.
My secret list as of now is as follows :
No. 1 : Vijaya-mavshi - She comes to give me a bath
every morning.
No. 2 : Soham - This chap stays in the opp. bldg of my
aaji. He used to burst crackers any time during the
day around diwali.
No. 3 : Doc-kaka - For pricking me twice till now :-(
No. 4 : Doc-kaka again - This is for not allowing me
to visit you on your birthday party.

Actually, doc-kaka is right. I am still a delicate
darling(although i'll be 3 mnths tomorrow !!)due to
which I may catch up infections during Pune trip and
then hv to face the bitter medicines later..According
to him I will take some time to become strong and
develop resistance power(oops! I ,know what is that
but this is what doc-kaka told to my mom) to fight
with all kind of infections.

Anyway, I'll visit you next year, promise!(Gentelman's
romise :) )

Chalo then c u next yr ! Enjoy your Big Day and let me
know what all fun you had. Ask Parag-kaka to send us
the snaps ASAP.

Love,
MISHI

PS : You better take care of your dad's USB cable etc
this time so that we can c your snaps in time.

@ Shopper's Stop: The fun never stops

We went to Shopper's Stop yesterday to buy me a new dress. They let me by myself while they were shopping so I had a good time. The place was decorated for Christmas and the thoughtful people there had placed a lot of goodies on the Christmas trees. I plucked a few of them and settled down between two mannequins to eat them (Mannequins dont ask for a share). I dont know why daddy came running out of nowhere and spoilt the fun. He picked me up and did not let me free after that. We left shortly afterwards. His face even looked a little red then...wonder why.

Riddhi's birthday

On Sunday we went to Riddhi's birthday party at Talegaon (about 20 miles from our home). She turned one. There were so many babies like me. Riddhi has a huge house and I had a good time exploring the place.

On Monday, it was my birthday according to the Hindu calendar. My gramma-grampa follow that, so they bought me a lot of goodies (sweets, flowers, cards) and even gave my daddy some (actually a lot) money to buy me toys. Then we went to 'Sarjaa' for dinner to celebrate. Anand Kaka joined us there. It was fun.

lifes good again!

Gramma stayed home with me yesterday while Savita remained out. I had fun.
I love my grammy a lot - she sings for me and plays with me so much! Daddy also came home early.

Today, daddy and mommy stayed home. I got another haircut from Akalpita Maushi (my second official haircut). Guess mommy has to work tomorrow (though its a Saturday) but daddy will still be around so thats good. And Sunday is Ridhi's birthday, so I will get to meet some friends (Ashmit, Ridhi) there. That should be fun.

Catching up - 11 months old!

Its been a while (Daddy, bad).

Not much happening really...I mean nothing good. First daddy had the flu and then I caught something from him. I had fever upto 102 deg F for a couple of days. I still have a running nose :(
Mommy has been working late in the office almost every day now and when she comes home, she is on the phone(office again). She is even working weekends. And in between all this, yours truly has turned 11 months old!

Today, Savita was down with fever. She was a little down since last evening so Daddy came home by 1 and let her go. I played with daddy from then until 7.

PS: Karishma maushi, you were right. Tigers are rare creatures, they should not be thinking so much. Daddy has removed the 'India Empowered' post.
