Mihir learns Hindi

Suddenly last evening, he says "Maa, muzhe bhook lagi hai". We were all stunned as to where he picked it up from and he correctly told us that he got it from the movie Hanuman! I am still not clear about how he managed to connect the words and context together, but he does know when to say it!!

Down with Cold, cough, fever and a bad stomach. The bad stomach probably comes from all the biting that I have been doing lately..(daddy thinks so)

what I do at 2 years

- Tell gramma which saree she should wear to office each morning
- Decide which clothes (including underwear), shoes I wear at a given point in time
- Decide which clothes, shoes daddy or mommy wear when they go out with me
- Identify a few colours, mainly pink, blue, yellow and white
- Have stopped watching the nursery rhyme VCDs altogether, just see Hanuman sometimes
- Am ever willing to travel by autorickshaw
- Bite mommy and daddy when I get a chance
- Want to do everything on my own, especially eat and wear clothes
- No bathing

Trip to Bhopal

I went to Bhopal over the weekend with Daddy and mommy. We took the Friday evening Pune-Lucknow express and arrived Saturday early morning. The train journey was fun mostly as there was this little girl Disha who played with me. She was Athu's age and we both enjoyed playing. We reached (bhopal aajoba's) home by 7.45 AM.

All along I was hoping that Chiku tai would be there becoz mommy had told me that we were going to visit Chiku tai's grammy/grampa but I later realized that she stays in Hyderabad. Grammy/grampa were very happy to see us. Grammy had made Sabudana Khichadi and Gajar Halwa exclusively keeping my choices in mind. Post breakfast we got ready. They had booked a car which arrived at 11 and we all went to the other aaji/aajoba's place (Meenal/Maitrayee's gradparents) first. The initial plan was for all(both sets of aaji/ajoba) to go out but that was cut short as Asha Aaji fell down the previous evening and hurt her collar bone. We had some coffee at her place and then set out again. We went to this fancy place called India Coffee House (New Market, Bhopal) and had lunch. then we shopped(sweater for Athu dada and me, sweets to take back to pune). We then drove past the famous lakes of Bhopal and went to the 'Gufa Mandir'. Thereafter we went to a drive-thru zoo. I loved that place. Though we could not see the Lion and Tigers, we did see a white tiger, a leopard, deer, crocodiles, snakes, various birds and a bear.From there we went to the Birla Mandir. After that, we had some tea at a place near Birla Mandir, bought me a balloon and then came back home. We were all tired from the day trip but we all enjoyed it a lot.
The next morning, we got up and went to Asha aaji's place. We had lunch there and by that time it was time to leave, we had a train to catch at 3 PM. Dinu aajoba came to see us off at the station. I forgot to mention all the gifts that both aaji-aajobas gave me- lots of them :)
We reached Pune on Monday morning.
