who needs growing up?

My parents just don't understand me.

Shaunak visited on Thursday night (enroute to Mahableshwar) and again on Saturday for a few hours (on the way back). For several hours before each visit, my parents told me about all the 'wonderful' things about sharing my toys with him and taking care of him since he is a 'baby'. I did just that...I gave him all my toys for some time but he is such a baby he doesn't know how to play with them.

So I thought I'd just protect him by not letting him play with them - I mean, he could easily hurt himself playing with the cycle...ditto with the yellow sponge ball, the soft doll and toy car. And they thought I was being a bad boy, not giving him things to play!!!

Some people just dont understand.

ps: Aaji and Aba are on a 4-day trip to Goa and are expected back on Tuesday

Diwali

Yesterday was Narak Chaturdashi and Laxmi Pujan. My mommy made this Rangoli while I slept. Isnt it cool?

See how I helped Aaji with the Puja. I love playing with Agarbattis singing 'Jaydev Jaydev'.

We went down in the evening to see the fireworks. Aaji has bought me crackers and I liked them. But there were the other crackers that were making all this noise and I admit I was a little...err...scared. So I stayed at home for a major part of the evening.

Back from vacation

We came back from a 10-day vacation to various places mainly Lucknow and Binsar.
We went to Mumbai on Saturday morning (23-Sep) and returned home yesterday evening (02-Oct).

In Mumbai, we went to receive Anu Maushi's new car on Saturday and drove around in it for a while. On Sunday we went to Thane for Shunak's first birthday. He has become a big boy now and I was happy to meet him. He has grown up fast, I remember seeing him when he was so small. Sunday night we went to Manju Atya's place in Kalyan - aaji and aba had already reached there from Pune. I played with Shamish dada and Shweta tai for a long time.

On Monday morning, we took the Pushpak express to Lucknow. This was a long, 24-hour journey and I wasn't impressed with the cleanliness of the Indian Railways. I decided to 'lead by example' so I wiped both the windows on our side with my handkerchief. We reached Lucknow on Tuesday morning and Deepu Kaka was at the station to receive us. We went home and met Anjali Kaku and Meenal. She is my sister and just my age. Anjali Kaku had made Gulab Jamuns for us all. We rested that day and went for some site-seeing and shopping on Wednesday.

The Lucknow site-seeing pictures are here.

Here is a picture of Meenal:

We left for Kathgodam (thats the last rail-head enroute to Binsar) on Wednesday night and arrived in Kathgodam on Thursday morning. We travelled another 120 Kms by road to reach the Mahindra resort. The resort was pretty cool and I liked it there.

This is where we stayed

We did some site seeing in and around Binsar, you can see the pictures daddy took by clicking here.

I made some good friends at the resort and Anishka Biswas (5 years, third from left) was the best among them. Here is a picture of all my friends from the resort.

On our way back we took a train to Delhi and then a flight to Pune. Overall, a fun trip.
