Three months old!

Daddy, mommy and I became three months old today!

dear mommy,
wish you a very very happy birthday! When I grow up, I will make you a nice card on your birthday, even buy you a gift from my pocket money(please plan the amount accordingly). Hope I get to eat some cake today, I am tired of seeing you all eat and not give me anything.

weekend

daddy came to mumbai on Saturday morning. I was a little bored that day, so did not play with him much.

On Sunday, he took mommy, granny and me to Grant Road which is about an hour's drive from Andheri. I enjoyed the drive. I was a little skeptical while going, lest it turn out to be another vaccination, but I was relieved to find out that we were only going to Maushi Aaji's place. I met my other great granny for the first time. I also met Preeti Maushi there.We returned by 4 and daddy immediately left for Pune by 5 pm.

can't trust anyone these days...

Daddy came to mumbai on Saturday and he and mommy took me to the doctor for a 'general checkup'. I recognized the doc (we had met before) and greeted him with a smile. Even said 'hi' to him.

And do you know what he did in return? He just took an injection and jabbed me with it... he didnt even apologise! Is this the kind of behaviour one would expect? C'mon doc, where are your manners?

After that I cried a lot, it was painful. And some fever too.I dont want to see that doc again :(

PS: Daddy went back to Pune on Sunday. I could not play with him coz I wasnt feeling up to it myself.

We wish there were a better way to get these vaccinations done (without the jabs).Are the scientists listening?

daddy has not played with me for many days now. Last Saturday he came to mumbai with the guests and left with them. And that one day, everyone else wanted to hold me, so daddy stayed away. And he stayed in pune the weekend prior to that.

I hope he comes to meet me this weekend. I like to play with him.

I (finally) have a name!!

Two months and a lot of research later, daddy and mommy have finalized a name for me. It is Mihir, which means 'The Sun' in sanskrit.

There was a ceremony on Saturday evening which was attended by immediate relatives when I officially got my name. Preeti atya whispered the name in my ear.

Daddy came from Pune with all the relatives for the ceremony and left late in the evening after the ceremony. I got a lot of gifts...toys, clothes and jewelry! I also got to meet my Pune grampa for the first time.

He forgot the camera in Bombay, so he will upload the pictures from the ceremony only next week :(

Ganu has now started exploring his face with his hands. He even ends up scratching himself and pulling his hair, so I have to be watchful.
He smiles back if I sing to him or if I talk to him.
Yesterday, the Tamhanes visited us. He was playing until they arrived, but after seeing them he stopped. Not sure if this was because their faces were not familiar to him...
Daddy is worried Ganu might not recognize him when they meet next :)
