Letter from Mishi (Shaunak)

They celebrated Bombay Ajoba's 60th birthday without me :(
This is what Mishi writes:

Hi Mi(s)hir,
How are you doing?
Thought of writing to you regarding my fantastic Sunday!

Yesterday we (myself, my aai and baba, my aaji and mavshi) visited your Bombay-aaji/aaba. This was to celebrate your Bombay-aaba’s 60th Birthday!

After I had my lunch we started from Grant Road. Since I get up early in the morning I slept during the travel to Andheri. And after nice 2-3 hrs sleep I found myself at my tantu-aaji’s bedroom J I greeted baa-panji with smile. While I was sleeping, these big people finished the birthday celebration followed by lunch (Chicken Biryani…don’t know how it taste…)

Later Anu-mavshi drove us to our house in Thane. Mi(s)hir, I should appreciate Anu-mavshi’s driving skills and courage. Its not even 2 months for her brand new Alto and she took the challenge of driving us to our place, in spite of such a little driving experience. She drives smoothly and tries to improve at every turn. I am sure she will be a v good at driving in the near future. Don’t forget to ask her for a ride whenever next your visiting Mumbai.

On our way to Thane, we halted at my dad’s office in Ghatkoper as he was having some work. After 20-25 mins halt there we started for Thane. Again I went sleep in the journey and when I opened my eyes I was in my bedroom in Thane J

The short trip from Grant Road – Andheri – Ghatkoper - Thane was a good change!!

Love,
Mishi

working on weekends

Daddy got down my pram today (its been wrapped up and kept on the terrace for a while now) and we found that it has become very dirty. So we spent the afternoon washing it first with soap water (I even got my own brush to scrub it clean) and then with normal water.

Daddy has promised to take me for a ride in my pram once it dries up tomorrow :)

what will you have for dinner today?

Aaji bought me a small mixer/grinder yesterday and also a gas-stove and a pressure cooker. Thats a good addition to the tea-set that I already own. I spend most of my time cooking these days and people usually like what I cook.

beginning of the grind?

Mommy and I went to 'Saplings Nursery' yesterday afternoon to get admissions forms for 'Playgroup'. Though the communicated time was 3- 5 PM, we saw people walking off with the forms when we reached there at 2.45...apparently, people were standing there since noon!

It may be a well-known school but this clearly shows the crazy kind of competition that schools in India run. At the cost of the parents of course.

We will find out whether we get admission or no by Dec 15th...till then just wait and watch!

Jui turns ONE

We spent all of Sunday with Jui at her place. She turns one Friday (10-Nov) but they have the party in Sangli so we decided to celebrate a little early. There was cake and candles and lots of fun. Andya Kaka and Shraddha Kaku were there too.
