weekend with friends

I spent most of my weekend with friends this time. Jui was visiting us with her parents on Sunday and I had a good time playing with her. She is still a tad young to play with me (she is only 7 months old) but she is a good baby and does not run away with my toys. She got her parents along and we all had a good time on Sunday.

Sunday evening I played with Akhil dada and Aditi Tai. We played 'Ringa-ringa' and hide-and-seek and jumping and running. It was fun and I felt very bad when they left.

Akhil Dada was in Pune for a few days and went back on Monday (he stays in Switzerland). I was very small when they relocated so this was the first time we met. I liked him, he is a cool guy.
Aditi Tai is fun too, I always play with her. She goes to school and I like her school bag. Daddy said I can go to school with her when I grow up.She is also an artist, she was the first one(and so far the only one) to draw my portait. Akhil dada and Aditi Tai are best friends.

Daddy took pictures of the 'sunset'. To be honest I was a little worried the way it fell into the sea...somehow daddy and mommy did not seem to bother at all.

I dont know why they put a weighing scale in our room. I saw daddy stand on it and come down looking horrified, mommy did something similar, so I thought I'd check too

The trip was so much fun that I did not want to come back but we had to so we came back by IC 164 (Airbus A320) on the 12th.

Go GOA !!

We went to Goa for a short vacation over the weekend. We went to Mumbai by Intercity express on Friday evening. The journey was bad and I did not like the heat and humidity at all. We took a cab to Andheri but that ride was also bad. When we reached Andheri, there was a power outage but being the brave boy that I am, I took mommy and daddy upstairs and made them comfortable. I recognized Ba, Aaji, Aajoba instantly and said 'hello' to them. Soon the power was restored. Then Anu Maushi reached home from office. She got me this nice cricket bat.

We flew to Goa on Saturday morning and then there was a coach ride to the hotel. My first aeroplane ride: 10-June-2006 on 9W475 from BOM to GOI (on a Boeing 737-800). The guys at Jet were thoughtful and they gave me a small model of the aircraft as a memento.

The hotel was fun. Our room was with the garden view and the beach just below the garden. The food was good too and I ate a lot of cake and ice-cream in all meals.

It was a little cloudy on Saturday so we went to the beach only on Sunday. I played in the sand with daddy and mommy. I put a lot of sand in daddy's shoes when he wasn't looking :) Mommy taught me to build a sand castle.

Its the beginning of the monsoons and there was an advisory against entering the water as they expected some roughness at sea. So we did not swim.

Pebbles and Karaoke

If there's a reason to why Mihir is not writing this post, its probably becoz he is busy collecting pebbles or just singing along some song ("Main Hoon Na" being his latest hit).

He goes down and brings along pebbles...different shapes and sizes but he loves each one of them. When I take him for his bath every morning, I have to agree to "bathe" a few pebbles (the complete ritual - soap, shampoo, water) before he tags along.
He stores them in small plastic bottles, so our bedroom looks like a geology laboratory now. There is also the occasional stone which pokes when one sits on the sofa.

Mihir's karaoke has reached new heights now, he sings along practically any song that I know of. He shocked me with 'Main Hoon Na' this morning and I have now accepted his supremacy in this field.
