Mishi gets a new name!!!

We were in Mumbai again this weekend. Today was Mishi's naming ceremony. We could not stay back till the actual ceremony though coz that was in the evening and we had to drive back to Pune. Mishi's new name is SHAUNAK.

I like 'Mishi' better...

Could you find a way to keep my toothbrushes from getting lost? You might want to make lunch a bit tastier too. And while you are at all this, can you cure Ketaki Maushi's insomnia and Karishma Maushi's fever?

Mihir at 10.5 months

1. Crawls all over the house all day. Catches available things for support and then walks.

2. He dances. All you need to say is 'Mihir naach karun dakhav' and he starts off. In the absence of music, he evens makes up his own song 'un-aa-un-aa' to go with the dance. Shakes his bottom really well :)

3. He points to his head when you ask him 'Doka kuthay tuzha?'

4. Says 'Ta Ta' when he wants to address Savita, his governess.

5. Is very fussy with food. Stores food in his cheeks for a long time before swallowing it. A meal takes at least an hour.

6. Gramma has taught him to complete the line 'Injinachi ghanta vaje...' and he says 'tan tan tan'.

7. Says 'baba' all the time but does not link it with addressing his daddy.

8. Tried to say 'aaji' yesterday. Said it once but not again. Mommy just corrected me: He says 'aaji' very well now.

Mumbai over the weekend (daddy writes)

We left for Mumbai on Friday evening and returned on Sunday evening.

The star attraction for this trip was MISHI - he is an absolute darling. Mihir liked him and seemed happy when he saw him. Though Mihir is still too young to feel jealous, he did show a good amount of discomfort when either Mommy or I held MISHI and played with him. We once bought Mihir and MISHI close but he almost pinched MISHI's foot once so we kept them apart.

Mihir was much more comfortable in mumbai this time. He played with Ba, grammy and Anu maushi but was still a little shy with grampa. Tamhane Kaka and Kaki also came down on Saturday evening to see Mihir and he played with them too. He even wanted to go out with them. Baby aunty too came visiting for Mihir.

Mihir has now developed a new method of making his visits 'memorable' for everyone. For two days, he was the king at home and he left his mark on almost everything in the house. He broke a big vase and also some wind chimes and 'almost' broke several other things. He was very keen on throwing down grampa's calculator but was very upset wen I did not let him do it.

Overall, he has become 'extra'active and needs more attention than before. Cellphones, TV remotes, Calculators, Spectacles cannot be left unattended for minutes even.Once he sets his eyes on something, he attacks it and then that is the end of it.

It's a GIRL !!!!

Daddy just got off the phone with Sanket Kaka and here is the news: Snehal maushi delivered a cute 6 pound baby girl a short while ago!!! This is a great addition to my friends' list and it will be fun when daddy takes me to see her.

Congratulations to Snehal Maushi and Sanket Kaka and a warm welcome to you, my new friend!

PS: Daddy has promised to take me to mumbai this weekend to meet MISHI.

Update 20-Nov: They have decided to call her "Jui" which is the same of a flower.
